Over the last decade, because of the beauty and the proximity to New York, many working actors and entertainers have moved to Hunterdon, Somerset, Morris and Warren Counties. The Acting Studio at Country Stage, located in Califon, New Jersey brings professional New York acting classes to the country. It was created by Linda Perhach. The ongoing classes provide a professional and supportive environment for working actors, as well as beginners, close to home.

As an actor, you are your 'instrument'. It is, therefore, essential that you develop yourself to your fullest potential, and learn to utilize your skills, completely. The Acting Studio's purpose is to provide the opportunity and support to do that. The classes consist of individualized emotional exercise work, acting technique, and monologue and scene study. Particular attention is given to breaking down acting techniques to give each actor strong tools - a solid foundation - to build a complete character. Making that character real is also greatly determined by your emotional life. The emotional exercise process addresses this. When the foundation is created, and the actor is emotionally connected, they then learn to incorporate all of their skill into their monologue and scene work. In addition, designated classes focus on breaking down scripts. The Acting Studio has an additional purpose - to teach the fundamentals of the business of acting, and to support actors in their career goals.

Assisting people through EMOTIONAL COACHING ™ is a special skill that Linda Perhach brings to the work. Her background in Psychology, as well as her theatrical experience, has enabled her to provide invaluable insight and direction for both beginning actors and those already established in their careers. She has been giving workshops and doing private coaching in Manhattan, and around the globe, since 1985.
